The Flyers took home an electric win 3-2 OT on the back of Matvei Michkov Saturday night.
The Orange and Black took down the St. Louis Blues to advance to 12-10-3 on the season, placing them 5th in the metropolitan division.
Owen Tippett (5) got the fun started with 9:15 in the first period off the assists from Michkov and Morgan Frost to give the Flyers an early 1-0 lead.
It wouldn’t be until the third period when Dylan Holloway (7) tied it up for the Blues at one a piece with about 11:11 in the period. Tyson Forester (5) however, played the hero as he knocked one in off the assists from Bobby Brink and Noah Cates to give the Flyers a 2-1 lead not even a minute later.
Though as the period waned with about 20 seconds to go, Jake Neighbours (8) struck on the power play to tie it all up at two and send the game to overtime.
It was then, only 28 seconds in where Matvei Michkov (9) won it for the Flyers off the Travis Konecny assist.
The Flyers will now look ahead to their Thursday night matchup with the Florida Panthers back in Philadelphia. Catch it at 7:00pm on NBCSP.
